Virginia Department of Education Summer Academy Opportunities
The Virginia Department of Education (VDOE), in partnership with James Madison University (JMU), will offer several academies at JMU’s annual summer Content Teaching Academy (CTA). All 2021 workshops will be virtual.
Workshop and registration details:
Augmenting Mathematics and Special Educator Teams for Middle School and Algebra I in the General Education Classrooms: This Academy is designed for mathematics and special educator school teams working together to enhance student outcomes, especially for students with disabilities, by focusing on improving content understanding, pedagogical strategies, co-teaching strategies, and specially designed instruction in mathematics.
This four-day virtual Academy will be held June 21, 2021, from 12:15 – 4 p.m. and June 22-24, 2021, from 12:30 – 4 p.m.
