Overview:
All organizations experience conflict. However, conflict need not be destructive.
Managing Workplace Conflicts provides tools and techniques to resolve workplace conflicts involving:
- Relationships.
- Power imbalances.
- Methods and procedures.
- Differences in values.
- Communication strategies that lower emotional intensity and seek win-win outcomes.
The Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Mode Instrument is used to assess personal conflict styles and to discuss the advantages and disadvantages of various styles of managing conflict in the workplace. Participants will learn how to constructively manage conflicts between individuals and within teams to build cohesive and healthy workplace climates.
